Good Food is my design for a food based building in San Francisco south of Market Street, an area often referred to as SOMA. This area is a “work in progress” neighborhood. This building provides an open and accessible way for the people to learn about food, whether it’s the cooking, growing, or selling of it. Some of the requirements for this project were to have a large open area that could be used for food vendors or farmer’s markets, multiple industrial kitchens, classrooms, an auditorium, a gallery space, research labs, and an outdoor garden. I created an open building that blends each activity with each other, making a more aware environment.
