This is a collection of simple drawings that I created during my time in Oakland. I grew a fondness for the city that I was living, working, and volunteering in and was driven to create small snapshots of the buildings that captivated my interest during my walks throughout the city. I boiled the buildings down to simple elements and shapes. The simplicity of the drawings became an equalizer for the buildings. The ornate looked no different from the unassuming.
